3/8/2013 - Earth Hour, March 23rd at 8:30 p.m.

On Saturday, March 23, at 8:30 p.m., thousands of cities around the world will go dark for one hour during Earth Hour, which is World Wildlife Fund's annual campaign to raise awareness of the environmental challenges we all face, such as climate change.  The city of Waterbury is encouraging residents to participate in this symbolic event.

Dare the World to Save the Planet
Earth Hour is a simple idea that quickly turned into a global phenomenon.  Hundreds of millions of people around the world turn off their lights for one hour on the same night, to focus on the one thing that unites us all—our planet.  Visit: www.worldwildlife.org/earthhour for more information.
