March 5 is Problem Gambling Awareness Day in Waterbury

Mayor Neil M. O’Leary is pleased to join the Midwestern Connecticut Council on Alcoholism (MCCA) and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services in promoting March 5, 2013 as Problem Gambling Awareness Day in Waterbury.

MCCA is committed to raising awareness of this quickly growing addiction in the communities they serve and will provide free screenings at their Danbury, New Milford and Waterbury locations on March 5th. MCCA will also provide treatment at no cost to the client for anyone coming in on Tuesday, for as long as the treatment is needed.
