Martin Luther King Day Refuse and Recycling Collection Schedule

(Waterbury, CT) In observance of Martin Luther King Day on Monday, January 19, 2026, the City of Waterbury Department of Public Works announces changes to the refuse and recycling collection schedule.

The following changes will be in effect:
There will be no refuse or recycling collection on Monday, January 19, 2026
Monday collections will occur on Tuesday, January 20, 2026
Tuesday collections will occur on Wednesday, January 21, 2026
Thursday and Friday collections will remain on their regular schedule

The Mark Lane Transfer Facility will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026, and will reopen on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 7:00 a.m.
