City Announces Christmas Tree Collection Dates

(Waterbury, CT) The City of Waterbury Department of Public Works announces curbside Christmas tree collection dates for January 2026.

Curbside collection of Christmas trees will take place on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, and Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Residents are asked to place their Christmas trees at the curb the day prior to the scheduled collection date.

Christmas trees may also be disposed of at the Mark Lane Transfer Facility, located at 220 Mark Lane, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

All Christmas trees must be free of lights, ornaments, tinsel, and any other decorations. Artificial trees will not be accepted during Christmas tree collection and should instead be disposed of with regular solid waste collection.
