Mayor Pernerewski Provides Drinking Water Distribution Update
(Waterbury, CT) Mayor Paul K. Pernerewski, Jr. provided an update on the city of Waterbury’s ongoing drinking water distribution efforts.
The drinking water distribution sites at Municipal Stadium, 1200 Watertown Avenue, and Crosby High School, 300 Pierpont Road, are temporarily closed today beginning at 12:30 PM due to the current supply being fully distributed. The city is expecting the arrival of 10 tractor-trailer trucks carrying bottled water this afternoon at approximately 2:00 PM.
Distribution at both locations is anticipated to resume at 3:00 PM and will continue until 7:00 PM this evening, or until available supplies are depleted.
On Saturday, the City distributed 32,877 gallons of drinking water to residents. In just two hours earlier today, an additional 43,699 gallons were distributed. To date, a total of 76,596 gallons of drinking water have been provided to the community.

Both locations are expected to reopen at 3:00 PM today and remain open until 7:00 PM, or until water supplies are depleted.
Elderly residents and individuals with disabilities who are unable to travel to the distribution sites are encouraged to contact the Emergency Operations Center for assistance by dialing 311 or calling 203-597-3444.
The City will continue to provide updates as additional water shipments arrive and distribution operations continue.
