City of Waterbury Provides Update on Boil Water Advisory
(WATERBURY) – The City of Waterbury Bureau of Water received test results this afternoon following last week’s water main break and subsequent system disruptions.
Three water samples tested negative for bacteria, while the remaining samples returned indeterminate findings. As a result, a second set of samples has been collected, with new test results expected by late tomorrow afternoon.
As a precaution, all residents and businesses who experienced low water pressure or a complete loss of water service on Wednesday, September 24, or Monday, September 29, should continue to boil their water before drinking, cooking, washing fruits and vegetables, making ice, or brushing teeth.
The Bureau of Water is working closely with the Connecticut Department of Public Health to monitor the system and will provide updates as soon as the new test results are available.
