ARPA COMMUNITY SERVICES
INVESTMENT COMMUNITY MEETING
The City of Waterbury is the direct entitlement recipient of $74 million under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). In an effort to address the needs resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the City is proposing a new assistance program for community nonprofits to receive funding to help ensure a strong and equitable recovery. The City will hold a community meeting to provide an update on the investments being made with ARPA funds, information on the proposed community services investment program, and to solicit citizen input on community needs.
The community meeting will be held on Tuesday September 27, 2022, at 5:30 p.m., in the auditorium of Kennedy High School, 422 Highland Avenue. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m., and is open to all members of the public. City residents, nonprofit organizations and community groups are encouraged to attend.
Persons with a disability or non-English speaking who wish to participate should contact the Office of Community Development at 203-346-3810 no later than September 23, 2022 to discuss how the City can accommodate their needs. Individuals and groups unable to attend or with general questions about ARPA can send their inquiries by email to WaterburyARPA@waterburyct.org.
