5/18/2021 - Street Sweeping week of 5/17/21

The City’s residential street sweeping program began on Monday April 12 2021.

Property owners are asked to begin sweeping their sidewalks into the immediate gutter line, removing any debris, litter and leaves. Sand should not be swept into large piles.

Week beginning Monday 5/17/21:

Crew 1 will begin work in District 3-1. District 3-1 is in the eastern part of the city and includes the Reidville Dr/Scott Rd area.

Crew 2 will completing work in District 2-4. These districts include streets in the Bunker Hill area from the Waterbury-Watertown line to Aurora St.

Beginning 5/24 this crew will start work in District 4-1. This district covers the area from Meriden Rd to Woodtick and Sharon Rds including the Chase School area.

The Public Works Department will post signs in the districts prior to scheduled sweeping. Every effort should be made to remove parked vehicles from the scheduled routes prior to the arrival of the sweepers. Vehicles not removed during the sweeping operation may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Weekly updates will be posted in the newspaper and on the City website (www.waterburyct.org). Please refer to the website for a detailed listing of streets in each of the districts.
