4/19/2021 - Street Sweeping week of 4/21/21

Street Sweeping

 

The City’s residential street sweeping program will began on Monday April 12 2021.

Property owners are asked to begin sweeping their sidewalks into the immediate gutter line, removing any debris, litter and leaves. Sand should not be swept into large piles.

Week beginning Wednesday 4/21/21:

Crew 1 will complete sweeping in District 6-4 which is in the north side of town from Long Hill area southerly to East Main St and Cherry St easterly to Berkeley Ave. The crew will move to District 6-3. District 6-3 encompasses Division St to Lakewood Rd and Wolcott St to North Main St.

After completing the Long Hill area this crew will continue work into the Lakewood Rd area and the Bucks Hill area.

 

Crew 2 will complete work in District 1-4, that started at the Waterbury/Middlebury line continued south and west to Oronoke Rd.

After completing the Country Club Rd area this crew will move into District 1-3will continue working through Town Plot from Oronoke Rd to Bradley Ave and all intersecting streets.

 

The Public Works Department will post signs in the districts prior to scheduled sweeping. Every effort should be made to remove parked vehicles from the scheduled routes prior to the arrival of the sweepers. Vehicles not removed during the sweeping operation may be towed at the owner’s expense.

 

Weekly updates will be posted in the newspaper and on the City website (www.waterburyct.org). Please refer to the website for a detailed listing of streets in each of the districts.
