2/23/2021 - Public Notice of Public Hearing Substantial Amendments to Annual Action Plans to Reallocate Funds for New Park at 909 Bank St.

PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

 

The City of Waterbury has proposed the following substantial amendments to the Community Development Block Grant Program Annual Action Plan for CD YR 44 (2018-2019) to reallocate unused program administration funds in the amount of $429,244 and create a new project, the Park at 909 Bank Street and CD YR 46 (2020-2021) eliminate the Hamilton Park allocation of $500,544 and create a new project, the Park at 909 Bank Street and reallocate those funds to it.

 

In accordance with the Citizen Participation Plan, the change in use of grant funds from one eligible activity to another, the elimination of an activity originally described in the Annual Action Plan and the addition of an activity not originally described constitutes a Substantial Amendment to the Consolidated/Annual Action Plan. In addition, the major reprogramming of funds of more than 5% of the grant allocation or $100,000 whichever is greater also constitutes a Substantial Amendment.

 

The substantial amendments were presented to the Citizens Advisory Committee for its review and approval.  They approved it on February 18, 2021 and scheduled it for a Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 5:15pm. A thirty (30) day public comment period will commence on February 23, 2021 and end on March 24, 2021.
