5/6/2020 - 5-4-2020 Street Sweeping Project Update

Street Sweeping

The City’s residential street sweeping program will continue for the next six weeks.
Property owners are asked to begin sweeping their sidewalks into the immediate gutter line, removing any debris, litter and leaves. Sand should not be swept into large piles.
Week beginning Monday 5/4//20:

Crew 1 will complete sweeping in District 1 which is in the west end of town from West Main St south to the Naugatuck town line Beginning on May 7th this crew will begin work in District 3-1 which encompasses the Reidville Dr/Scott Rd area.

Crew 2 will complete sweeping in District 6 which is the Bucks Hill/North End areas. Work will then begin in District 4-1 which includes the Sharon Rd/Woodtick Rd area east to Pierpont Rd.

The Public Works Department will post signs in the districts prior to scheduled sweeping. Every effort should be made to remove parked vehicles from the scheduled routes prior to the arrival of the sweepers. Vehicles not removed during the sweeping operation may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Weekly updates will be posted in the Waterbury Republican and on the City website (www.waterburyct.org).
