5/22/2019 - Street Sweeping Update for May 28th, 2019

The City’s residential street sweeping program continues. On Tuesday May 28, 2019 sweeping crews begin working in Districts 2 and 4. Detailed updates will be provided weekly through local media sources including the City of Waterbury website.

Property owners are asked to begin sweeping their sidewalks into the immediate gutter line, removing any debris, litter and leaves. Sand should not be swept into large piles.

Week beginning Tuesday 5/28/19:

Crew 1 will be sweeping in District 2 which is in the west side of town beginning at the Middlebury town line and proceeding east to Riverside St and north to the Watertown town line. Areas included in District 2 are the Park Rd area, the Robinwood neighborhood, the Colonial Ave area, Carrington and Bunker Hill School areas.

Crew 2 will be working in District 4 which is in the East End.  Crews will be working in the Frost Rd area between East Main St. and Meriden Rd, The White City/W.A.R.C. area and the Plank Rd. / Hamilton Park area.

After completing the areas above this crew will move into the Bouley Manor Area and the Chase School Area.

The Public Works Department will post signs in the districts prior to scheduled sweeping. Every effort should be made to remove parked vehicles from the scheduled routes prior to the arrival of the sweepers. Vehicles not removed during the sweeping operation may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Weekly updates will be posted in the newspaper and on the City website (www.waterburyct.org). Please refer to the website for a detailed listing of streets in each of the districts.
