Waterbury marks the end of its first year using the City’s new recycling carts with good news.   Since cart delivery began in October of 2017 Waterbury residents have embraced the program, recycling several hundred more tons each month in comparison to previous years.  As a result the City’s recycling rate has more than doubled in the first year of the program and we continue to take steps to increase the level of recycling.
