7/27/2017 - Traffic Alert 7/27/2017 - Freight Street Lane Shift
Traffic on Freight Street is scheduled to shift to the north side of the street after the evening rush hour Thursday, July 27th. The shift is needed to accommodate road work that will start on the south side of Freight Street.
The temporary traffic pattern will have the vehicular and pedestrian traffic on the north side of Freight Street. All the businesses located on the south side of Freight Street will have their access driveways available, and will be OPEN FOR BUSINESS. The traffic pattern for Freight Street will be one lane in each direction with no street side parking available.
The traffic pattern at the intersection of Freight Street and Meadow Street will have a reduced lanes available – there will be a through westbound lane and a right turn and left turn dedicated lane eastbound. The westbound Northeast Transportation bus stop on Freight Street will be removed for the duration of the work which is anticipated to be 2 months.
