The annual flushing of water mains and testing of hydrants is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 3, 2017 through Friday, June 9, 2017. The flushing work will be scheduled from 8 am to 3 pm. There are nine flushing routes for the City, each taking about a week to complete.

Flushing Route #1 is scheduled to start on April 3, 2017, followed in order by Routes #2 - #9.

Occasionally, hydrant flushing can result in discolored water or temporary periods of reduced pressure. These conditions are not harmful and are temporary. As a convenience, customers can draw sufficient clean water prior to the start of flushing for use in drinking, cooking and washing. We apologize for any inconvenience, however, this procedure is essential to ensure proper operation of our fire hydrants, and to help reduce the incidence of water quality disruptions going forward.
