Marchers for the parade Saturday morning at The Gathering, Waterbury’s annual cultural fair, are being asked to assemble in one of two places.

Marching units, bands, dancers and school groups are asked to arrive between 9 and 10 a.m. at the TORRCO parking lot, 100 North Elm Street. Dignitaries must arrive by 10:30 a.m.

Floats, decorated vehicles, large units and those marching alongside floats and vehicles are asked to arrive between 9 and 10 a.m. at the Sears Auto parking lot, 375 Union Street.

As a reminder, there will be no stopping to perform along the parade route. Performances will take place inside Library Park. All parade participants are expected to march from the starting point to Library Park without stopping.

Waterbury Police Activity League (PAL) vans will be stationed in the parking lot of the Waterbury Republican-American, 389 Meadow Street, to drive walkers back to their vehicles at 1:30, 3:30 and 5 p.m.
