More than 150 people attended a recent Forum to Combat Heroin and Opioid Abuse that Mayor O'Leary scheduled at Waterbury City Hall in response to this nationwide epidemic.

The Mayor has also appointed an Opioid Task Force that will look into this issue and suggests ways to combat it and educate our school children on the dangers of opioids and other prescription drugs at the earliest age where it will be most effective.
