9/17/2015 - Police set up hotline, email to report ATV, mini-bike complaints

Police establish hotline, email to report ATV violations

Waterbury police have set up a special telephone number and an email address dedicated solely for complaints of illegal operation of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), dirt bikes, mini-bikes or any other recreational vehicle that is being operated illegally on Waterbury public roads.

The number to call and leave a message is 203-573-6662.

The email address is atvtips@waterburyct.org

The Board of Aldermen recently passed an ordinance designed to give police more tools in confiscating recreational vehicles being operated illegally on city roads. Police, in turn, have confiscated several vehicles that were allegedly being operated illegally on city streets and plan to continue to crack down on the use of these unlicensed, unregistered and often uninsured vehicles on city streets.
