4/27/2015 - Health Department program takes aim at asthma

A new program called “Putting on Airs” from the Waterbury Health Department will send an environmental health specialist to the home of any person who suffers from asthma to find possible asthma triggers in the home. A nurse will then help you understand how to manage asthma. This free service is available to any Waterbury resident whose doctor has said they or their child have asthma. Asthma is the leading cause of absence in Waterbury schools. To arrange a free in-home visit, call the Waterbury Health Department Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 203-573-6679.
