5/30/2014 - Street Sweeping, Week of June 2

 

The City’s residential street sweeping program began on Tuesday April 1, 2014 and will continue through completion which is expected to be early June. Property owners are asked to begin sweeping their sidewalks into the immediate gutter line, removing any debris, litter and leaves. Sand should not be swept into large piles.

Week of June 2, 2014 

Crew 1 will continue working in District 3.Work in District 3-3 continues. The crew will then begin work in District 3-4. District 3-3 includes the Gilmartin and Hopeville areas. District 3-4 includes the Washington School, Sacred Heart High School, and Maloney School areas.

Crew 2 will be completing District 1-3 which includes the area from Oronoke Rd. east to Highland Ave. and Bradley Ave. north to Chase Parkway.  Crew 2 will then begin work in District 1-2, which encompasses the Tinker School area both east and west of Highland Ave. 

Crew 3 will be working in District 2-4 which encompasses the area from the Watertown town line southerly to Aurora St. and Oakville Ave. easterly to Colonial Ave. and Middlesex area.

The Public Works Department will post signs in the districts prior to scheduled sweeping. Every effort should be made to remove parked vehicles from the scheduled routes prior to the arrival of the sweepers. Vehicles not removed during the sweeping operation may be towed at the owner’s expense.
