Problems encountered during the test shut down of area valves on Friday May 2, 2014 have resulted in the postponement of plans to replace the large 30” gate valve on West Main Street near its intersection with Willow St. and Meadow St. This valve replacement work had originally been scheduled for May 9 through May 10, but has been postponed while alternative plans are prepared.
