5/3/2014 - Street Sweeping Update, Week of May 5

The city's residential street sweeping program began on April 1, 2014 and will continue through completion which is expected to be early June.

Property owners are asked to begin sweeping their sidewalks into the immediate gutter line, removing any debris, litter and leaves.  Sand should not be swept into large piles.

Crew 1 will be working in District 6-1, which encompasses the following areas: Upper Bucks Hill, Wilby High School, and Montoe Road.

Crew 2 will be working in District 4-4, which encompasses the following areas: Chase School, and Wolcott Street.

Crew 3 will be completing work in District 2-2 which includes the Circuit Avenue and Grandview Avenue areas. This crew will then move into District 2-1, which encompasses the Western Hills, Robinwood Avenue, and Chase Parkway areas.

The Public Works Department will post signs in the districts prior to scheduled sweeping.  Every effort should be made to remove parked vehicles from the scheduled routes prior to the arrival of sweepers.  Vehicles not removed during the sweeping operation may be towed at owner's expense.
