4/22/2014 - Street Sweeping, Week of April 21, 2014

 

The city’s residential street sweeping program will continue through completion which is expected to be early June.

Property owners are asked to begin sweeping their sidewalks into the immediate gutter line, removing any debris, litter and leaves. Sand should not be swept into large piles.

Week of 4/21/14:

Crew 1 will be completing work in District 6-3 which encompasses the following area: Division St/Long Hill Rd north to Lakewood Rd. North Main St easterly to Wolcott St. Work in District 6-13 is expected to be completed by Wednesday.

Beginning Thursday 4/24 crews will be working in District 6-2 which includes the following areas: Bucks Hill area and the Waterville area.

Crew 2 will be completing work in District 4-2 which encompasses the following area: Crosby, Wallace Generali School areas. Pierpont Rd westerly to Scott Rd. Meriden Rd southerly to East Main St

Beginning Thursday 4/24 crews will be working in District 4-3 which is the Fairlawn and White City area.

Crew 3 will be completing work in the upper part of Bunker Hill and be moving into the Circuit Ave./ Grandview Ave. area.

The Public Works Department will post signs in the districts prior to scheduled sweeping. Every effort should be made to remove parked vehicles from the scheduled routes prior to the arrival of the sweepers. Vehicles not removed during the sweeping operation may be towed at the owner’s expense.
