MAYOR TO SIGN SALE AGREEMENT WITH KING INDUSTRIES;
COMPANY EXPANDING TO WATERBURY

 Manufacturer will invest $50 million to construct 80,000 square feet of space at Waterbury Industrial Commons

WHO: Waterbury Mayor Neil M. O’Leary; King Industries President Richard King; local and state officials.

WHAT:  In a ceremony at City Hall, the city will officially sign the contract with King Industries Inc., sealing the deal on the purchase of 10 acres of a remediated Brownfield industrial site at Waterbury Industrial Commons.  The purchase comes with a private capital investment commitment of $50 million dollars.  The construction of the 80,000 square foot manufacturing complex will provide for an estimated 180 jobs and upon completion over 50 permanent manufacturing jobs.
