The Waterbury Police Activites League has partnered with
Waterbury Public Schools, Astronaut Rick Mastracchio and
Geocaching.com to educate and bring awareness to school
children about NASA and the International Space Station.

Through the work of this project, there will be a ceremony on
Wednesday October 30, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Chase Elementary
School in Waterbury to announce that the State of Connecticut
and the City of Waterbury will officially declare November 6, 2013
as Astronaut Rick Mastracchio Day.

The event is free and open to the public.
