10/2/2013 - City of Waterbury's Health Department Receives National Award

 

The City of Waterbury’s Health Department recently received an award from the National Public Health Information Coalition (NPIC).  The Health Department along with Concerned Citizens for Humanity received first place in the posters/billboards category of NPIC’s 2013 Awards for Excellence in Public Health Communications for their HIV prevention campaign for black males. The campaign, directed by Samuel F. Bowens III from the Health Department and Darrell Decker from Concerned Citizens for Humanity, received funding from the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health.
