5/31/2013 - City Hosts Meeting To Discuss Efforts And Initiatives To Combat Urban Violence

 

Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Mayor Neil M. O’Leary, and Police Chief Vernon Riddick
will be speaking about efforts being made to reduce urban violence. They will then
moderate a community discussion, which will include taking questions and remarks from the audience.
The community stakeholders in the audience will include families of victims, neighborhood groups,
elected officials, and members of the faith based community. The purpose of this meeting is
to provide public officials the opportunity to update the community on the progress being made to
reduce violence and to obtain feedback and insight from the community stakeholders.

WHAT: The City of Waterbury hosts meeting to discuss
efforts and initiatives to combat urban violence.

WHEN: Monday, June 3, at 9:30 a.m.

WHERE: Veteran's Memorial Hall, 2nd floor of City Hall, 235 Grand Street.
