5/6/2013 - Small Business Development Workshop

 

 

Mayor Neil M. O'Leary announces that the city, in partnership with the Waterbury Development Corporation, the Waterbury Regional Chamber, the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board and the Connecticut Small Business Development Center, will host a Small Business Development Workshop open to all small businesses in the Greater Waterbury area.

"We recognize the need for assistance for small businesses in Waterbury and surrounding towns, and we hope to provide information about potential opportunities created by city construction projects," Mayor O'Leary said.

Information will be provided on valuable strategies for business planning and development, financial assistance and the resources available to small businesses.  In addition, information will be provided on the City's Section 3 program which creates contracting opportunities, and the City's Good Jobs Ordinance which creates employment opportunities.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. in Veteran's Memorial Hall, 2nd floor, City Hall Building, 235 Grand Street.  Registration is encouraged.  R.S.V.P. to Saranda Belica at (203) 574-6712 or sbelica@waterburyct.org.
