WATERBURY SENIOR CENTER
The Waterbury Senior Center is a city-run building for all seniors ages 60 and over, completely dedicated to our senior population. It has all of the comforts of home with access to services and information at your fingertips. We have a health room specifically for wellness-related programs, such as flu clinics, mobile podiatry, dentistry and so much more. A computer lab facilitates classes on how to use the latest electronic gadgets, Facebook, e-mail, and Skype. There is also a room with card tables and a pool table.

The Waterbury BRASS office is located in the Waterbury Senior Center. BRASS is the central hub of information on services, programs, and benefits for Waterbury residents ages 60 and over. The office provides information and benefits access for seniors and coordinates a system of social and wellness programs.

The BRASS Program Coordinator collaborates with staff at each BRASS location to offer programs focusing on health, fitness, recreation, lifelong learning, technology, culture and socializing.

The Information and Benefits Specialist will meet one-on-one with clients to do a benefits checkup or help fill out applications, as well as find programs that that can help pay for medications, health care, food, utilities, and more. If you are planning to attend, please call to confirm, as cancellations may occur.

WHAT IS BRASS?
Waterbury BRASS is a collaboration between the City of Waterbury, Connecticut Community Foundation, New Opportunities, Inc., and Western Connecticut Area on Aging, working together to engage residents ages 60 and over. BRASS offers a range of opportunities and programs to help Waterbury become a great place to grow older.
Senior Discounts
BRASS is reaching out to Waterbury’s merchants to provide a Senior Citizen Discount program. Your participation is voluntary and each merchant decides upon the amount of discount and any additional conditions. "Click here" to view the list of participating vendors.

WATERBURY SENIOR SHUTTLE
Transportation provided for Waterbury senior citizens for medical visits, shopping, and recreation. Door-to-door service is offered at no additional cost. Van is lift-equipped for seniors who are disabled.
