909 Bank Street Clean up - Public Informational Meeting
An informational public meeting will be held on September 24, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. at Duggan Elementary School, 38 West Porter Street Waterbury, CT 06708.
This meeting will provide a summary of proposed cleanup activities associated with the development of 909 Bank Street.
The attendees will be provided an overview of the draft Alternative Brownfield Cleanup Analysis and draft Interim Remedial Action Plan.
Time will be allotted for questions or comments from the public that will be addressed in the final Remedial Action Plan for the site.
In addition, the public may view the Phase I (2015), Phase I (2018), and Phase II (2018) environmental reports by visiting http://wdconline.org/, by appointment, or by walk-in at the Waterbury Development Corporation office, Monday through Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm from September 04, 2019 through October 4, 2019.

The site soils will be remediated in accordance with Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection regulations as part of the preparation of the site.
The project will include the remediation of the site’s soils, the removal of an underground storage tank and the removal of remnant structures/foundations.
The potential final use options will not be discussed during this public information meeting.
The final use of the property will be determined later in consultation with the neighborhood and the Waterbury Parks Department.
