The Purchasing Department procures goods and services for city agencies and departments. This is accomplished in a courteous, timely and professional manner while strictly adhering to the City Charter.
General Qualification to Bid:
- Sealed bids will be received by the Director of Purchasing in his office in the City Hall building, 235 Grand Street, Waterbury until the date and time specified when they will be publicly opened and read.
- No bid shall be accepted from, or contract awarded to, any person who is in arrears to the city upon debt or contract or who is a defaulter as surety or otherwise upon any obligation to the city.
