5/24/2004 - Tour of CT Bike Race

 

Volunteers Needed for the 2004 Tour of Connecticut Bike Race!

 

The Waterbury Climber's Cup has been called one of the hardest races in North America and tests the professionals to their maximum. For the true cycling fan, this race is a must see event. 2004 introduces a 30km World Championship selection race for Juniors. Winners here will qualify for the PCT Jr. Grand Prix at the USPRO Championships in Philadelphia. You'll get a glimpse of tomorrow's cycling stars.

 

Come be part of the excitement as the Tour of Connecticut Bike Race returns to Waterbury for its second year!  This year's race will take place on Saturday, May 22nd, 2004 starting at 11:30!  Click here for a map of the course!

 

As part of the bike-race crew, you'll help create a world-class event in Connecticut.  Organizers are looking for:

  • Course Marshalls
  • Banner Set-Up/Take-Down
  • Course Set-up/Tear-Down
  • Start/Finish Line Crew

 

Volunteers will receive a T-shirt, loud whistle and enjoy the best views of the race! 

 

Can't volunteer?  Come cheer on the racers on May 22 during this 80K race!  This year also includes a 30K World Championship selection race for Juniors.  The Winners will qualify for the PCT Jr. Grand Prix at the USPRO Championship in Philadelphia.
