" View from the Edge" with Broadway's Annie Edgerton:

Shakesperience presents Broadway’s Annie Edgerton in View from the Edge, a downtown evening of cabaret and fun! A consummate performer, Ms. Edgerton brings her signature combination of showmanship, professionalism, and brass to the Brass City for one night only! Arrive early to enjoy the reception, a silent auction, tastes and libations provided by Bacco’s Restaurant and MyBoozeBook.com, and musical selections from Broadway and beyond. In addition to lead roles in Broadway’s Mamma Mia, Ms. Edgerton continues on her “Anthem Quest,” performing the National Anthem for 13 MLB teams (and counting!) A Jazz vocalist, singer-songwriter, and sommelier, she writes/teaches about wine as The Wine Minx, and even more information is available at www.annieedgerton.com. Proceeds from View from the Edge benefit the educational and community programs at Shakesperience Productions, Inc.


Auditions for Summer 2012 and Educational Season 2012-2013:

Shakesperience Productions, Inc. will hold auditions for its upcoming Vintage Shakesperience Summer Tour and its 2012-13 Season. The summer tour will include William Shakespeare’s Richard III and is open to professional actors 21 and older (who will be paid and under contract) and community actors ages 10-Adult. All productions are directed by Artistic Director, Emily Mattina.

This summer tour is scheduled to travel to venues across the Northeast, including Festival Stratford in mid-August. Housing will be provided for professional artists, who will be
Shakesperience is also seeking several acting/technical interns available for the summer (no housing provided). Four of the intern positions include a stipend of $250-500.

The 2012-13 Season involves 5-6 actors and features two types of Resident Artist Contracts (Full Year Contract Sept./Oct.-May and Spring Contract Feb.-May). The season will include A Midsummer Night's Dream, various Interactive Workshops, and a production for children.

Auditions/Interviews for actors (professional and community) and interns will take place on April 14 in Stratford at the Stratford Public Library, and on April 15 at the Shakesperience Studio in Waterbury located at 117 Bank Street.
