WATERBURY NAMED A “2012 FIREBALL RUN” DESTINATION CITY
Designation to Bring National Attention to Waterbury & Connecticut

WHAT: Fireball Run® - “The Race to Recover America’s Missing Children” - an epic 8-day, 14-city, 40 teams, 2,200 mile interactive adventure, game and full-length feature film – will include Waterbury as 1 of 8 destination cities to be visited by rally participants between Ohio and Maine in September 2012. The nationally-acclaimed Fireball Run educates its influential race team participants and millions of live and feature film audiences across the U.S.A. of the powerful cause to locate missing and exploited children. To date, Fireball Run has assisted in the recovery of 38 missing children across the nation.

Announcements: Introduction of Waterbury-based Fireball Run participating race teams; Photo presentations of Waterbury-area missing children; Festivities planned for the visit by Fireball Run teams to Waterbury on September 27.

WHO: The City of Waterbury, the Waterbury Regional Chamber, and executives with Adrenaline Partnership at NBC Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, will provide information on how Waterbury and Connecticut will be featured in the “2012 Fireball Run Adventurally Northern Exposure” expedition, and the post-race feature film distributed nationwide.
