The Waterbury Blight Enforcement & Control Task Force in partnership with the Mayor's Office and the Board of Education is sponsoring a "Slogan Contest" for the City of Waterbury's new anti-blight and litter campaign.

This contest is open to all Waterbury school children. The slogan must be 10 words or less. A semi-finalist will be chosen from the elementary, middle school and high school levels. Each of the semi-finalists will receive a free one year membership to the Greater Waterbury YMCA and Waterbury PAL. A finalist will then be chosen from amongst these three. The finalist will have their winning slogan appear on city buses and on all future literature as part of the City's anti-blight and litter campaign. The finalist will also receive a $100 gift card to the Brass Mill Center.

Contest forms will be distributed to students in the next few days at school and are due by Friday February 10, 2012. Contest forms will also be available during regular business hours at Waterbury PAL, 64 Division St., WOW Community Learning Center, 308 Walnut St., and the Citizen's Service Center located on the first floor of City Hall.
