South End Farmers Market is open on Tuesdays from 2-5:00 p.m. at the Washington Park House through September 27th. Fresh fruit, vegetables and baked goods are offered. EBT, WIC and Senior Nutrition Coupons accepted.
Brass City Harvest will be holding a
Fall Harvest Feast on Saturday, September 17th from 6-9:00 p.m. at Gresczyk Farms, Route 202, New Hartford. Hearty dinner of Connecticut grown (or sourced) seafood, roast pork, produce, and farm-baked orchard pies and desserts. Connecticut produced wine, draft beer, and Connecticut's own Farmer's Cow beverages will be served. All proceeds to benefit Brass City Harvest's sustainable urban agriculture and employment programs. Brass City Harvest is a 501(c)(3) non-profit urban agriculture and human services organization in Waterbury, and is the Market Master for both Farmers' Market on The Green and the South End Market.
