12/8/2004 - Gov. Rell's Visit to Waterbury

When:  December 14th, 2004 from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm

Where:  The Waterbury Armory, 64 Field Street, Waterbury

FYI: Governor M. Jodi Rell will be visiting the Waterbury Armory on Tuesday, December 14th from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm to promote Operation ELF: a program championed by the Governor to help Connecticut service members and their families during the Holiday Season by collecting new, unwrapped toys for all age groups as well as gasoline and grocery gift cards for their families. Donations of fuel oil, Christmas trees, snow removal services are also welcome.

Many of our service members are worried about their families here in Connecticut. One meaningful way we can say “thank you” is to make sure that the families they’ve left behind are given the help they need during the Holiday Season. Operation ELF does just that.

The Governor invites you to stop by the Waterbury Armory and make a donation.

Operation ELF also accepts financial contributions which can be made to the Connecticut National Guard Foundation Inc., 360 Broad Street, Box 53, Hartford, CT 06105.
