The City of Waterbury will be hosting a Tree Lighting Ceremony on the Green in Waterbury on Sunday November 29, 2009 at.  The Christmas Parade with Santa Clause riding a fire engine will step off from the Chase Municipal Building on Grand Street at 5:30pm .  

Everyone is asked to bring a non perishable food item for the food bank.  Frankie’s Hot Dog will be giving a free Hot Dog to anyone who brings a non perishable food item. There will be only one hot dog per person. There will be a Holiday sing along with Bob Mobilio & Brass on Brass. About 5pm the ambassadors from, Main Street Waterbury, will be handing out music sheets. There will be Magic on the Green at 5pm by Tony the Magic Man . The Neighborhood Council will be handing out Dunkin Donuts.

The Arts &  Tourism Commission will be handing out Hot Chocolate and McDonald’s cookies. There will be a Hay Ride on East Main Street which is also sponsored by the Arts & Tourism Commission.

In case of rain the tree lighting ceremony will be held on  Monday,  November 30, 2009
