5/26/2009 - Signal 100: Officer Needs Assistance

 

 

Lt. Vin Riddick is a 41 year old Waterbury Police Lieutenant who was recently diagnosed with a rare and often terminal form of brain cancer called Glioblastoma Multiforme-Grade IV (GBM). Vin is a respected member of the Waterbury Police Department and a beloved member of the Waterbury community. Therefore, the WPD family is hosting a family-oriented benefit to help defray Vin’s anticipated exorbitant medical expenses. Please join us for a day of food & fun at the Municipal Stadium, located at 1200 Watertown Avenue in Waterbury on Saturday June 13th from 12pm-6pm.

The event kicks off with a motorcycle run from 10am-12pm. This fully escorted ride departs from Municipal Stadium’s South Lot and will wind riders through the scenic Litchfield hills before returning to the Stadium for the rest of the day’s festivities. The day features a DJ, live music, raffle prizes, kids’ games/events and tons of food & drinks.

Tickets are $25 each...age 12 & under admitted free. Cost of the motorcycle run is $30 (passengers $20 each) and includes admission to the main event. Tickets may be purchased in advance at one of the following locations:

1. Waterbury Police Activity League, located at 64 Division Street
2. Waterbury Police Community Relations Division, located at 240 Bank Street
3. Waterbury Police Chief's Office, located at 255 East Main Street
