CoCo Key to Give Free Mets Tickets with $25 Donation to Autism Speaks

Waterbury, CT- As part of an ongoing series of initiatives to support worthy causes, CoCo Key Water Resort is raising funds during Autism Awareness Month with a special baseball promotion: for every $25 minimum donation, the resort will provide a field-level ticket for this Friday’s Mets game, a face value of between $60-$90. Five hundred tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Proceeds will benefit the non-profit organization Autism Speaks. The Mets will face off against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday, April 17th at Citi Field, the Mets’ new stadium. Game time is 7:10 p.m.  

“We’re excited to participate in such an important cause and we’re hoping this fundraiser raises at least $10,000 for the Connecticut Chapter of Autism Speaks,” said Kate Terricciano, Director of Marketing at Holiday Inn Waterbury/CoCo Key Water Resort.

Autism is a complex neurobiological disorder that typically lasts throughout a person's lifetime. Autism impairs a person's ability to communicate and relate to others. Symptoms can range from very mild to quite severe. Today, 1 in 150 individuals are diagnosed with autism, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined.
