The City of Waterbury 2009 Sweeping Program will begin (weather permitting) on April 6^th, 2009. More details will be published in the paper and on the City website next week, giving specific routes and instructions to residents. Some preliminary sweeping will be ongoing during the week of March 30, 2009 in the immediate downtown areas, along with Districts 2-1(Park Rd., Lakeside Blvds. East and West, and the Ledgeside Ave. area.) and 2-2(from the Blessed Sacrament Church area, to the Bunker Hill Firehouse area) Property owners are asked to begin sweeping their sidewalks into the immediate gutter line, removing any debris, litter and leaves.
