SUBJECT: Traffic Pattern Changes

On Sunday September 9, 2007 the Traffic Division will be changing the direction of Cole Street to its original operation allowing vehicle to travel one-way northwest toward South Elm Street. The change requires the modification to the traffic signals on South Elm Street to allow westbound movement including signage and pavement markings. The section of Scovill Street between South Elm Street and Cole Street will remain one-way eastbound to service the temporary entrance to Saint Mary’s Hospital.

The changes are expected to be in place Sunday; the time for change will depend on the weather.

Note that as of September 9, 2007 the traffic on Cole Street will

revert to it's original direction (i.e., after September 9th, the arrow should

on Cole Street should be reversed --- pointing towards South Elm Street ).


 

Due to the relocation of the Main Entrance to St. Mary's Hospital, traffic patterns on sections of Scovill Street and Cole Street will be temporarily changed.

These changes are scheduled to take effect Sunday, August 12th and will remain in effect for approximately 6 months.
