4/26/2004 - Earth Clean Up Day

 

The Waterbury Litter Control & Beautification Commission and Mayor Michael J. Jarjura are looking for individuals to participate in a city wide Earth Day Clean-Up to be held on Saturday, April 24, 2004 (Rain date: Saturday, May 1, 2004). The clean up will start at 9:00am and continue through 1:00pm. Come and lend a hand to help "Keep Waterbury Clean and Neat Out to the Street". All participants are asked to meet it the North parking lot at the Municipal Stadium.  Refreshments after the event will be provided by Frankie's Hot Dogs from their facility at the stadium.  Music will be provided and t-shirts will be passed out.   Areas to be cleaned will be identified by the Litter Control & Beautification Commission and assigned to individuals and groups. Work gloves will be provided by the city and participants are asked to wear old, comfortable clothing.
