Connecticut Scenes Bus Tour

When: March 19 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Ann Smith, Curator of "Connecticut Seen/Connecticut Scene," will lead a bus tour in search of the scenes that inspired painters such as Frederic Church, Calvin Curtis and Geroge Durrie. The first stop will be at Eli Whitney's shop and village, just as George Durrie did in the mid-1800's. Next, the tour will visit West Rock, the site of many paintings depicting the shoreline and farms. The tour concludes with a visit to Derby, where the idyllic scenery depicted by Calvin Curtis will be compared to the river views today.

Tickets: Museum members, $10, non members $12. RSVP
