Sponsorship Grants

Connecticut Community Foundation awards two types of Sponsorship Grants of up to $2,500* to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, libraries, over-55 communities and/or senior centers that will be holding an event in our 21-town service area. Sponsorships are open to agencies whose majority of programs and services take place in our service area.

  • Underwriting Sponsorship Grants for one-time charitable events and/or educational programs that are open to the public and held in our 21-town service area;
  • Matching Funds Sponsorship Grants to match dollar-for-dollar contributions made in response to a fundraising challenge during an event held in our 21-town service area.

Connecticut Community Foundation encourages applications for Matching Funds Sponsorship Grants! Contact Cynthia Merrick at 203-753-1315 x112 prior to applying if you have questions about how this type of sponsorship might be beneficial to your organization.

*Organizations may request up to $2,500 for a Sponsorship Grant, a Matching Fund Grant, or a combination of both. Please consider the amount you are requesting based on the anticipated attendance of your event, community impact, and your event budget. Although you may request up to $2,500, most of the Foundation’s sponsorship grants are less than that amount.

Sponsorship Grants are limited to one approved grant per calendar year per organization. CCF does not sponsor golf tournaments, walk-a-thons, or other sports activities.

Sponsorship application deadlines:

January 23 for events being held after March 15.

April 24 for events being held after June 20.

August 21 for events being held after October 15.

You may apply prior to any deadline for an upcoming event sponsorship – i.e. if you are planning a December event, you don't have to wait until the September deadline to apply. It is to your organization's advantage to apply early!  More information: http://www.conncf.org/nonprofits/sponsorships/
