10/16/2014 - Free Residential E-Waste Collection, Oct. 18

FREE RESIDENTIAL E-WASTE COLLECTION EVENT: October 18th, 9 AM – 1 PM at the Brass Mill Mall – Sears Automotive Parking lot

The City of Waterbury Litter Control and Beautification Committee, in cooperation with Take 2 Inc. and the Brass Mill Center will be hosting a FREE electronic waste recycling collection event in the Sears Automotive Parking Lot at the Brass Mill Center.  Residents are encouraged to bring their unwanted electronics to the Brass Mill Center on Saturday October 18, 2014 between 9 am and 1 pm.  This event is open and free to all Connecticut Residents in the Greater Waterbury area.

Take 2 Inc. will be on site to unload vehicles and safely package and transport all equipment to their Waterbury facility to be responsibly and securely recycled.

Accepted materials include, but are not limited to: Computers, laptops, televisions, monitors, printers, copiers, cell phones, video games, stereo equipment, PDAs, VCR and DVD players, tablets, keyboards, wires, mice, and small appliances.  Unaccepted materials include: liquids, hazardous materials, paint, and smoke detectors.

Take 2 Inc. is an Waterbury based electronics recycler.  Take 2 is approved by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection as a Covered Electronics Recycler in conjunction with Connecticut’s Electronics Recycling Law, RCSA 22a-638-1.  All equipment will be transported by Take 2 to their facility for responsible and secure recycling.
