The City’s residential street sweeping program began on Tuesday April 1, 2014 and will continue through completion which is expected to be early June. Property owners are asked to begin sweeping their sidewalks into the immediate gutter line, removing any debris, litter and leaves. Sand should not be swept into large piles.

Crew 1 will be completing work in District 3-4. District 3-4 includes the Washington School, Sacred Heart High School, and Maloney School areas.

Crew 2 will be working District 1-1 which includes the following areas: Sunnyside Ave. south to Congress Ave./ Highland Ave. east to Riverside St.

Crew 3 will be working in District 5-4. This area is from Chase Ave.south to Roseland Ave. and Hill St. north to Waterville St.

The Public Works Department will post signs in the districts prior to scheduled sweeping. Every effort should be made to remove parked vehicles from the scheduled routes prior to the arrival of the sweepers. Vehicles not removed during the sweeping operation may be towed at the owner’s expense.
