5/10/2014 - Street Sweeping, Week of May 12

The City's residential street sweeping program began on Tuesday, April 1 and will continue through completion, which is expected to be early June. Property owners are asked to begin sweeping their sidewalks into the immediate gutter line, removing any debris, litter, and leaves. Sand should not be swept into large piles.

Crew 1 will be finishing work in District 6-1 which includes the following areas: Upper Bucks Hill, Wilby High School, and Montoe Road.  On Tuesday, Crew 1 will begin working in District 3, which is from the Prospect town line to East Main Street and Austin Road to Reidville Drive.

Crew 2 will be finishing work in District 4-4 which encompasses the following areas: Chase School and Wolcott Street, then continue working in the Town Plot, Brooklyn, and Country Club areas.  This is expected to start on Tuesday, beginning at the Middlebury line on Country Club Road.

Crew 3 will be continuing work in District 2-1, which includes Western Hills, Robinwood, and Chase Parkway areas.

The Department of Public Works will post signs in the districts prior to scheduled sweeping.  Every effort should be made to remove parked vehicles from the scheduled routes prior to the arrival of the sweepers.  Vehicles not removed during the sweeping operation may be towed at owner's expense.
