The city’s residential street sweeping program will continue through completion, which is expected to be early June.

Property owners are asked to begin sweeping their sidewalks into the immediate gutter line, removing any debris, litter and leaves. Sand should not be swept into large piles.

Week of April 28, 2014:

Crew 1 will be continuing work in District 6-2 which encompasses the Bucks Hill / Perkins Ave. / Waterville area.

Crew 2 will be continuing work in District 4-3 which encompasses the Fairlawn and White City area.

Weather permitting, work is expected to begin in District 4-4 on Thursday May 1st.  This district includes the Chase School / Wolcott St. area.

Crew 3 will be completing work in the upper part of Bunker Hill and be moving into the Circuit Ave. / Grandview Ave. area.

The Department of Public Works will post signs in the districts prior to scheduled sweeping. Every effort should be made to remove parked vehicles from the scheduled routes prior to the arrival of the sweepers. Vehicles not removed during the sweeping operation may be towed at the owner’s expense.
