Habitat for Humanity of Greater Waterbury is accepting applications for its next build in Waterbury.

Habitat for Humanity builds safe, decent houses for low-income families who could not otherwise afford to buy a house.

The affiliate plans to build its next house in Waterbury this year. The home will be built in partnership with a family selected based on specific criteria.

Families are chosen based on their need for housing, ability to make payments on an affordable, no-interest mortgage and their willingness to be active partners with Habitat in accomplishing its mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope.

Potential applicants must be residents of the affiliate area which includes: Beacon Falls, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Oxford, Prospect, Southbury, Waterbury, Watertown, Wolcott and Woodbury.

Interested parties are invited to visit the website at www.waterburyhabitat.org to review the selection criteria, print and complete an application; or pick up an application at 83 Prospect St. in Waterbury.

Applications should be mailed to P.O. Box 1881, Waterbury, CT 06722 by March 15.
